Grievance: Beginning in 1976, have averaged 4 to 7 cases per year. Issues range: Arbitrability, bargaining unit work, holidays and holiday pay, job classes, job evaluation, management rights, overtime, past practice, scheduling, seniority, severance pay, training, vacations and vacation pay, promotions, reassign-ments, discipline.
Interest: Beginning in 1978, averaging 3 to 5 cases per year. Conventional issue by issue arbitrations.
FEE AND EXPENSE PRACTICE:
Per diem: $750 + expenses (or statutory minimum)
Cancellation - Between notification of appointment up to 2 weeks before hearing: $100 + expenses. Less than 2 weeks before hearing: $200 + expenses. Less than 24 hours, $750 + expenses.
NOTE: If no hearing scheduled, $100 cancellation fee.
Out-of-Pocket Expenses:
Mileage: 35 cents per mile
Secretarial Services: Inhouse: $18.00 per hour; Outside Service: Actual cost incurred.
Photocopies: 15 cents per copy
Long Distance, Hotels, Meals, Travel: Actual costs incurred.
NOTE: The arbitrator shall not charge any fee other than the above stated fees.
