Previously was Director of the Michigan Department of Labor (1969-1974) and member of the National Advisory Council on Occupational Safety and Health (1970-1976). Attorney since 1957 and arbitrator since 1975. Prior chairman Michigan State Bar Labor Law Council. Articles on arbitration published in Duke and DePaul Law Review and Michigan State Bar Journal. Permanent umpire for City of Detroit and Detroit Police Officers Association, Marathon Oil and Teamsters, Eaton Corporation and Allied Industrial Workers, State of Michigan and UAW, Central Michigan University and MEA, Ryder Corporation and UAW, and Uniroyal and United Rubber Workers.

FEE AND EXPENSE PRACTICE:

$850 per diem

Cancellation/Postponement - If less than 2 weeks (10 business days) before the hearing, $850; If more than 2 weeks (10 business days), $100 - to cover docketing and administrative expenses. Upon notification by the parties of a request for a third postponement and any subsequent postponements, the parties will automatically be charged my full per diem rate of $850 ($425 for each party).

Other - travel and related expenses, copying, postage and telephone costs.

NOTE: The arbitrator shall not charge any fee other than the above stated fees.
