Have performed thirty eight (38) years of labor relations dispute work: with the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (1962-1992) in the Southern and Southeastern U.S.; nationally, while assigned to FMCS Headquarters; regionally, from Rockford, IL. Taught at the College of Business, Northern Illinois University for five (5) years, DeKalb, IL. Private Arbitrator/Mediator since 1993.
Have promoted and executed contract settlements through suggestions, recommendations, and written awards, under the gamut of issues, in aerospace, automotive, coal, communications, construction, education, food processing and groceries, hospitals and nursing homes, machine tools, needle trades, newspapers and printing, paper making, poultry and meatpacking, and the federal and public sectors, including fire-fighting, law enforcement and other county and municipal services.
FEE AND EXPENSE PRACTICE:
Per diem: $750, plus expenses
Travel: Actual or IRS mileage and M&IE, as applicable (option of the parties), billable from either Rockford, IL or Madison, WI, whichever is closer to the hearing site
Cancellation: $200, upon confirmed hearing commitment; except one full day where cancellation occurs within 72 hours of the hearing date.
NOTE: The arbitrator shall not charge any fee other than the above stated fees.
