EXPERIENCE: (Issues & Sector/Industry)

Have nearly 20 years experience in arbitration of labor disputes. I have represented public and private sector unions and employers up until approximately 5 years ago when I became a labor arbitrator. I have arbitrated all types of grievance disputes, including disciplinary and discharge cases, contract interpretation disputes, wage disputes, seniority issues, fringe benefits issues. This is not an exhaustive list as I have been arbitrating throughout the State of Minnesota and in North and South Dakota for 5 years now.

Also, handled interest arbitrations as an advocate until 5 years ago and have now arbitrated many interest cases for public employers in Minnesota. These have been on a variety of issues including wages, vacations, sick leave, holidays, health insurance and a variety of language issues.

I am familiar with school-related issues, police and fire, public works and clerical employee matters.

FEE AND EXPENSE PRACTICE: $850 per day of travel, hearing, study and drafting time, plus expenses of travel, i.e. hotel and meals, where applicable. Cancellation - 1 day hearing if the matter is rescheduled, cancelled or continued within 2 weeks of the scheduled hearing

NOTE: The arbitrator shall not charge any fee other than the above stated fees.
