Over thirty years of labor relations experience: contract negotiations, contract administration, arbitration advocacy (grievance and interest), labor-management cooperation, and more.

 

Issues: Including, but not limited to absenteeism, alcohol and substance abuse, arbitrability, assignments, bargaining unit work, bidding rights, compensation systems, discipline (up to and including discharge), employee and employer rights, union dues, insurance (health, life and dental), disability benefits, holiday pay, vacation periods, sick leave, severance, vacancy filling, work rules, and wages.

 

Sector/Industry: Public and private sectors.  Communications, natural resources, revenue, commerce, planning, social services, corrections, hotel management, health, police work, firefighting, education (K-12 and secondary), clerical and support staff, education support staff, maintenance, safety, rehabilitation, and many more.

 

FEE AND EXPENSE PRACTICE: A per diem fee of $800.00 is charged for each 8 hour day of travel, hearing, mediation, study or writing.  Travel time shall be pro-rated if less than 8 hours.  A cancellation or postponement fee of one day per diem for each day scheduled is charged if the hearing is canceled or rescheduled within 21 days of the scheduled hearing date(s).

 

Travel: IRS rate for vehicle travel.  Air travel, if necessary, shall be at the lowest rate available.  Actual costs incurred for meals, hotel stays and any additional travel expenses. 

No fees for copying and mailing.

 

NOTE:                        The arbitrator shall not charge any fee other than the above-stated fees.
