Experience:

            Present: Arbitrator with broad experience in public and private sector labor and employment issues.

            1976-2002: Served in several leadership capacities for major energy corporation, including labor and employee relations, human resources and customer operations. Directed the Contract Administration function with responsibility for grievance and arbitration administration. Negotiated numerous collective bargaining agreements. Developed and delivered union-management relationship training to first line supervisors and mid-level managers. Served as panel member in tri-partite arbitration proceedings.

            1969-1976: Member of Retail Clerks Union 1550 in Chicago. Served as steward in union organization. 

 

Fee and Expense Practice:

Per Diem: Fee is $950.00 per day for hearing and for research and preparation of the opinion and award. A hearing is any portion of a day up to eight (8) hours. Time for research and preparation is prorated.

            Cancellation Policy: If the scheduled hearing is postponed or cancelled with notice of less than three (3) calendar weeks (or twenty one days), the per diem rate for each day of the scheduled hearing will be charged. 

            Expenses: Charges are made for actual cost of necessary and reasonable expenses. Automobile mileage is charged at the applicable IRS expense rate. The Arbitrator charges per diem fee for any portion of a travel day up to eight hours on non-hearing days. The travel time fee is prorated. 

 

            Note: The Arbitrator shall not charge any fee other than above stated fees.
