Labor-Management Cooperation Programs

Wisconsin Employment Relations Commission

Labor Management Cooperation

Programs

The Commission offers two basic training programs: Consensus Bargaining and Labor/Management Cooperation Committee. Both are designed as two (2) day training programs, however, to meet the needs of the constituency we service, the Commission has developed shorter duration programs. In addition the Commission has developed a one (1) day refresher program for each type of training.

Consensus Bargaining: A problem solving approach to negotiations, which emphasizes the mutual interest of the parties.

Labor/Management Cooperation Committee: Focus is on the post negotiations aspect of labor relations. Emphasis is on consensus decision making and problem solving approach to disputes or concerns that arise during the term of a collective bargaining agreement.

Refresher Program: One-day program designed to refresh members on a Consensus Bargaining Team or a Labor/Management Cooperation Committee on the techniques, terms and tools being used in each process.

Half Day Programs: Short program generally two hours in length designed to train members of a Consensus Bargaining Team or a Labor/Management Cooperation Committee who were added to the group or were unable to attend the training on the techniques, terms and tools being used in each process.

Two day program:   $150.00 per attendee plus expenses (meals, travel and lodging) of the facilitator/trainers.

One day program:   $100.00 per attendee plus expenses (meals, travel and lodging) of the facilitator/trainers.

Half day or Less Programs: $50.00 per attendee

Request for training must be a joint request. Commission will schedule the training as soon as possible after receipt of any joint request.
