TO INCLUDE IN AN APPEAL OF A STATE CIVIL SERVICE PERSONNEL ACTION (PA CASES)
All appeals must be in writing and must identify the
appellant. There is no form to complete, and most appeals take the form of a
relatively brief letter addressed to the Commission at
We recommend that you include or attach the following information:
o The appellant’s name, mailing address, email address and telephone number, both at work and at home. Please indicate the address you would like the Commission to use in our correspondence with the appellant or the appellant’s representative.
o The name of the State agency that took the personnel action being appealed.
o A summary of the facts that serve as the basis for the appeal.
o A concise statement indicating why the appellant believes the action was improper.
o The relief or remedy that is being sought.
o A copy of any written decision that is being appealed.
